Hi friends! Happy Friday! I am going to start with Target Practice and then jump to the giveaway winners because that’s what you really came here for!
borrowed stole the idea for the Target Practice Friday series from the ladies over at Fit.Fun.Femme. I do things a little differently, but ultimately it’s where I share my progress on my short term goals, a.k.a targets.
Improve Pace - On Tuesday and Wednesday, I worked on interval training. I couldn’t last on the treadmill more than 20 minutes. I absolutely hate running indoors because I get so fraking bored! It looks like I need to find a new way to interval train outside.
Handstand - I also worked on handstands Tuesday and Wednesday at the gym. Handstand training is going really well. I can kick all the way up against a wall pretty much every time (yay!), but I still can’t hold my weight up without a wall (boo).
Half Marathon – In addition to 6 miles yesterday, this girl got a new personal distance record (PDR) on Sunday! I ran 12 miles for the first time and it was awesome! I told myself going into the run that I wouldn’t worry about pace and just run at my comfortable pace. The weird thing is the first 3 miles where in a 9 minute range! The 12 miles went well, but by the time I got to mile 10 and 11, my legs felt numb and I got the chills in 90 degree weather! What the frak is that about?!
Eating Clean - Other than the pizza I ate after my 12 mile run (I think I deserved some pizza!), my eats were super clean this week. I ate a LOT of vegetables this week and my berry obsession continues! Check out these yummy eats:
