Hello! I’m Jillienne. I created this blog to document my wellness journey. A year ago I realized something needed to change. I suffered from horrible migraines, always felt tired, and I had gained 20 lbs since graduating from college in 2009. Finally, I figured out that my body was trying to tell me to “WAKE UP! And stop eating those Jalopeno Cheetos, Lean Cuisines, and Diet Coke.”
I was not always unhealthy. As a child I grew up in a household that had many fruits and vegetables in the fridge. Thanks Mom! My oldest friend’s mom called me the Little Bunny Rabbit because I was a rare child who loved all things plant-based. It was not until later that I experimented with unhealthy diets and strange cleanses, but I’ll save that story for a future post.
Now, I am eating a healthy, clean diet. In December of 2012, I started seeing a personal trainer and have gotten great results. I never really knew how to workout before now. The 20 lbs I gained after college and marriage have come off. And the migraines are few and far between!
This year, I found a passion for running and even completed my first full marathon with Team Nutribullet.
I also joined the California Triathlon club and have made it my mission to get more young females involved in triathlons. 2014 will be known as the year of the triathlon as I have six races planned leading up to my first 70.3.
Throughout the blog I may refer to my best friend, boyfriend, and husband (a.k.a the Bear).
Thing 1
And Thing 2
I hope that I can share the things I have learned through this blog. I encourage you to join me on this journey towards a fit, healthy life!
